Data protection matters a great deal to us.
Below you will find useful information about the protection of your personal data.
What our hosting provider stores automatically
Hosting provider and data location: cyon GmbH, Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, Switzerland
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. This access data includes:
The provider uses the log data solely for statistical evaluation for the purposes of operating, securing and optimising the service. The provider does, however, reserve the right to review the log data retrospectively where specific indications give rise to a justified suspicion of unlawful use.

What happens when you send us an e-mail
E-mail provider and data location: cyon GmbH, Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, Switzerland
If you contact us by e-mail, your message is forwarded to the operator of our mail hosting. Mail hosting is a type of hosting service dedicated to providing e-mail functions. It allows individuals, companies and organisations to create and manage e-mail accounts tied to their domain name (e.g. info@ingres.ch). Mail hosting providers normally offer e-mail services with features such as spam filtering, virus protection, webmail access and the option of using e-mail clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird. This type of hosting forms part of a larger hosting package, such as web hosting or domain hosting, or is offered as a standalone service. It is a convenient solution for anyone who needs a professional e-mail service with their own domain name. How long messages are kept is handled case by case. As a rule we archive your messages so that past enquiries remain traceable, for example in the case of follow-up questions on completed orders, repeat orders or complaints. In addition, the operation of mail hosting is subject to requirements governing which data must be collected and retained for security reasons. These are covered by the data processing agreement with the operator. Further details can be found on the website of the mail hosting operator:
https://www.cyon.ch/legal/datenschutzerklaerung

How we handle personal data
Personal data is information that makes a person identifiable, that is to say details that can be traced back to a person. This includes a name, an e-mail address or a telephone number. But data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites someone has viewed also counts as personal data. Personal data is only collected, used and passed on by the provider where this is permitted by law or where users consent to the collection of the data.
How we protect your personal data
We have put technical and organisational security measures in place to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. Our safeguards are revised and improved continuously in line with technological developments.
When you use a service on our website, your personal data is transmitted to us. To keep it from falling into the wrong hands, we encrypt it using SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL is currently the most common and most secure method of transmitting data over the internet.
How SSL works
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protects data that a customer sends over the internet to a company's server. SSL provides protection in three respects:
SSL is in use whenever you see a small (usually green) padlock in the status bar at the bottom left of your browser.
What we store when you send us an enquiry
When you contact us through our contact form, the details you provide are stored in order to process your enquiry and in case follow-up questions arise. We do not pass this data on without your consent. Contact enquiries are deleted from the CMS automatically after 1 year.
The data is stored on the same hosting storage as described above under "What our hosting provider stores automatically".
What newsletter data is used for
Newsletter operator: Mailjet GmbH, 4 rue Jules Lefebvre, 75009 Paris
Data location: Google Cloud Platform in Frankfurt (Germany) and Saint-Ghislain (Belgium)
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information allowing us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address given and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively to send the information requested and do not pass it on to third parties. You may withdraw your consent to the storage of the data and of the e-mail address, and to their use for sending the newsletter, at any time.
Further information on data protection can be found on the operator's website:

Integration of third-party services and content
It may happen that third-party content is embedded within this online offering, for example videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (referred to below as "third-party providers") are aware of the users' IP address, because without the IP address they could not send the content to the browser of the user concerned. The IP address is therefore necessary in order to display this content. We endeavour to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely to deliver that content. We have no influence, however, over whether third-party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for instance. Where this is known to us, we inform users accordingly.
Use of Facebook social plugins

Data is explicitly exchanged not only when the Like button is clicked, but already through the code delivered by Facebook on this website. This data cannot be viewed or modified in aggregate by the site operator. Details of how Facebook handles your personal data can be found in Facebook's privacy policy:

Some of the cookies used are deleted again at the end of the browser session, that is when you close your browser (so-called session cookies, for example: are you logged in?). Other cookies remain on your device and allow your browser to be recognised on your next visit (so-called persistent cookies, for example storing your login details if you wish). You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are being set and to decide about accepting them yourself, or to refuse them generally. Please note that functionality and ease of use may be limited without cookies. You will find more on this here:
